About this guitar

Collings’ DS1 A Hill Country is the original 12-fret dreadnought shape (once built as an oversized Hawaiian guitar), giving an open, airy tone with more headroom than a modern 14-fret dreadnought. This model pairs an Adirondack spruce top with Honduran mahogany back and sides. Built in Collings’ Hill Country voicing, which shifts the tonal balance toward a warmer, fuller fundamental than the standard or Traditional lines.
