Mod-P (Modified Parlor)
Skytop's compact Modified Parlor (Mod-P), a build-to-order acoustic featuring the shop's signature side sound port design in place of a traditional front soundhole.
About this guitar
Skytop Guitars is a one-luthier boutique shop (Eric Weigeshoff) known for its side-sound-port construction, which replaces the usual front soundhole with ports on the guitar’s side that direct sound up toward the player rather than out into the room. The Mod-P is the smallest of Skytop’s three standard body shapes, a compact parlor-style build aimed at fingerstyle players who want an articulate, well-balanced voice. Every guitar is built to order and documented step by step with the client.
