About this amp
The X88-IR updates the original late-1980s X88R - one of the first standalone professional guitar preamps - with a modernized 3-channel all-tube preamp section (a clean channel plus two configurable crunch/overdrive channels), an AI-captured simulation of a 120-watt 6L6 power amp, and six assignable onboard cabinet impulse responses. It’s designed to deliver a full amp-and-cab signal chain direct to a mixing board, interface, or headphones, with MIDI preset storage and free Soldano Editor software for managing IRs and presets.
