DMC (Deep Modified Classical Hybrid)
A new (late-2025) mid-sized crossover model that pairs a classical-guitar body outline with Thompson's standard steel-string neck, 25.4" scale, and a narrower 1 11/16" nut.
About this guitar
The DMC blends the shape and feel of a classical guitar with Thompson’s standard steel-string neck rather than a wide classical nut, using a soft-V profile and a 1 11/16” nut (adjustable at order time). Its deeper body and 00-sized soundhole keep it relevant for band or jam settings despite the mid-range size, with a feel the shop compares to a smaller Slope Shoulder Dreadnought. Released in late 2025 and shown at IBMA and the Sisters Folk Festival, it ships in Mahogany or East Indian Rosewood with a set of standard colored-rosette and binding appointments; pricing isn’t published and requires contacting the shop directly.
