Growler by Healy Guitars

About this guitar

The Growler is a double-cutaway design with high fret access across the whole board; the 22-fret neck joins the body at the 21st fret, extending the tenon deeper into the body for added strength and resonance. Its 3-per-side headstock uses a shallower 7-degree tilt-back rather than a standard Gibson-style 13 degrees, keeping the headstock off the ground if dropped, plus graphite reinforcement under the peghead veneer for extra strength. Many Growlers pair a chambered mahogany body with a maple top for extra treble bite while keeping mahogany’s tonal depth. Like the rest of the line, it’s built to the customer’s specs, and the custom order queue is currently closed, with a mailing-list waitlist for when it reopens.
