Modified Dreadnought
Morgan Kelsey's own take on the modified dreadnought: a larger 16" lower-bout body with a more elegant, forward-shifted waist than a classic dreadnought.
About this guitar
The Modified Dreadnought reworks the classic dreadnought shape with a tighter, forward-shifted waist for a more elegant silhouette at the same 16” lower-bout size. It can be built with a traditional centered soundhole or the off-center soundhole shown on Kelsey’s own build, and can optionally include an integrated kalimba with its own independent pickup system for live flexibility alongside the guitar’s own electronics.
