El Capistan Tape Echo Plugin
By Strymon
A plugin recreation of three vintage tape echo machine types with adjustable tape wear, plus a built-in spring reverb.
About this pedal
El Capistan’s plugin offers Single, Fixed, and Multi tape-head modes drawn from classic tape echo machines, each with control over tape quality and machine health — from clean, fresh-off-the-line tone to a heavily worn, fluctuating vibe. A built-in spring reverb algorithm can enhance the echoes or be used on its own by turning the mix control down to just the reverb signal.
