Kilobyte
Caroline's original lo-fi digital delay, pairing an analog dry path with a low-fidelity delay chip and a +21dB drive preamp for smeared, degraded repeats and runaway oscillation.
About this pedal
The original Kilobyte keeps the dry signal analog while running the wet signal through a low-fidelity delay chip (of the type used in old karaoke machines and toys) driven by a +21dB boost/overdrive preamp. It’s capable of controlled runaway oscillation via a summation knob or the Havoc footswitch, and includes a subtle modulation circuit that adds movement to the repeats.
