Parting
Generative glitch pedal combining chance-based delay/reverb, modulation, sample-rate degradation, and randomized clock changes for ambient texture.
About this pedal
Parting, made in collaboration with Emily Hopkins, is a generative glitch/texture pedal: a Chance control sets the odds a delay repeat fires at all, Smear diffuses that delay into reverb, Dissolve degrades the signal via sample-rate reduction or reverses it through increasingly lo-fi clocks, and a Glitch control randomly doubles or halves the modulation/delay clocks. Stereo in/out, full MIDI and expression control over every parameter, and onboard presets make it as useful for deliberate sound design as for happy accidents.
