ZIO Analog Front End + Boost
By Source Audio
An all-analog preamp and boost pedal with four selectable preamp circuits and up to +20dB of output boost, designed to sit anywhere in a signal chain.
About this pedal
Developed with SHOE Pedals’ Christopher Venter, the ZIO Analog Front End + Boost is Source Audio’s first all-analog pedal. Four distinct Burr-Brown-based preamp circuits, a transparent JFET voicing, a low-cut mode for tightening low end, a Pultec-inspired Studio EQ curve, and an E-Plex mode modeling a vintage Echoplex preamp, combine with up to +20dB of clean output boost and a 3-way tone toggle simulating different cable lengths. It’s equally at home shaping tone at the front of a pedalboard, sweetening drive pedals, or driving a long cable run or effects loop.
