Fuchs FBT-300 / FBT-700
A pair of ultra-compact bass heads with a hybrid tube/FET preamp inspired by the SVT, driving a solid-state ICE Power module, in 300W and 700W versions.
About this amp
The FBT-300 and FBT-700 chase the tube-amp feel of a classic SVT-style rig without the 80-plus-pound chassis. A hybrid tube/FET preamp running on a switch-mode 300V supply feeds a modern ICE Power digital power module, keeping the whole amp under 6 lbs. Controls include input gain for passive or active basses, Baxandall high/low tone, a parametric 5-way stepped midrange (flat at ‘0’, emulating classic B-15-style voicing), and an output master. A buffered patch loop sits between preamp and power amp, and a balanced DI output offers pre/post switching, ground lift, phase, and global mute. Worldwide auto-sensing voltage makes them travel-ready.
