Octal Six Head
28-watt octal-preamp head (6SN7/6SL7) driving a pair of 7591 power tubes, a Dr. Z/Joe Walsh collaboration with a vintage-yet-hi-fi tone signature.
About this amp
The Octal Six pairs octal-base 6SN7 and 6SL7 preamp tubes (each with independent DC heater supply for low noise) with a pair of 7591 power tubes for a vintage-tweed-adjacent sound with unusually high fidelity and dynamic range. A post-phase-inverter master volume and buffered FX loop round out the feature set. Hand-wired, solid-state rectified.
