X-RAY Head by Dr. Z Amplification

About this amp

The X-RAY combines the chiming, British-Invasion-inspired clean headroom of Dr. Z’s discontinued Stang Ray with the mid-forward, 5879-pentode-driven overdrive of the discontinued DB4. A post-phase-inverter master volume and front-panel half-power switch (30W to 15W) add flexibility neither predecessor had. Hand-wired, tube-rectified, with a tube-driven FX loop.
