Thorn Grantura MkIII
Thorn's semi-hollow archtop with a laminated curly maple top, reversed F-holes and a spruce center block, built to order.
About this guitar
The Grantura MkIII is a semi-hollow archtop set-neck built from mahogany, Korina or Black Limba with a kerfed spruce center block and a laminated curly maple carved top. Reversed F-holes, aged vintage celluloid tri-crown inlays, ivoroid binding and heel cap, and a hand-cut sterling silver truss rod cover round out the cosmetics. Electronics pair Ron Ellis humbuckers or Thorn P90s through dual volume/tone and a 3-way switch, with a stoptail, trapeze or Bigsby tailpiece over a Faber ABR-1 bridge. Finished in ultra-thin nitrocellulose lacquer with aging options, ships in a hardshell case. Build-to-order — wood, hardware and finish choices are priced individually beyond the base price.
