Friedman IR-J
A Jake E. Lee signature all-tube preamp and IR/cab-sim pedal with dual independent channels, onboard boosts, and Friedman's low-latency IR engine for going direct without a mic'd cab.
About this pedal
Two independent foot-switchable channels — a bluesy-to-Plexi voice and a higher-gain JEL voice with a selectable classic gain-structure mode — each carry their own TS-style boost circuit. An all-tube preamp pairs with a fast onboard DSP engine running Friedman’s own cabinet impulse responses, selectable per channel via toggle switch or loaded through the included Windows/Mac editor software. MIDI-capable with 128 presets, a transparent effects loop, and flexible enough to run as an all-in-one rig or a standalone preamp alongside a live cab.
