Andy Babiuk's Fab Gear runs a repair bench for guitar and bass setups, restringing and repairs, with amp work handled by amp builder Mike Boyack. The shop calls itself a factory authorized Fender service center and worked on Bob Dylan's Stratocaster from the 1965 Newport Folk Festival for an episode of PBS's The History Detectives. The Fairport showroom also sells new and vintage guitars, amps and pedals, with a deep Rickenbacker selection. Owner Andy Babiuk wrote books on Beatles and Rolling Stones gear.
