Schneider Guitars is the Bearsville workshop of luthier Dave Schneider, who builds custom acoustic and electric guitars and also takes in repairs and restorations. Dave studied under guitar maker James D'Aquisto and lute maker Lawrence D. Brown, and later studied instrument making in India. The shop repairs Indian instruments such as sitars and harmoniums alongside guitars. Visits are by appointment, and the shop serves the Hudson Valley and musicians worldwide.
