About this amp

The Tres Leches pairs a high-headroom, full-bandwidth 6L6 preamp with a solid-state rectifier and adjustable grid bias for maximum power, then uses a 6L6-based tube power attenuator, a circuit shared by Benson Amplifiers, to scale the amp from 45 watts down to 15 or 5 watts while keeping the sag and compression feel of a low-wattage amp. It’s the first amp built specifically around Milkman’s own reissue JBL-style Alnico speaker, and this combo can be configured with a 12” or 15” Milkman Alnico or Ceramic speaker.
