Independence 35
Matchless' first three-channel amp, with backlit red/white/blue channel logos and a bypassable master volume with cut control.
About this amp
The Independence 35 is Matchless’ first three-channel guitar amp, switching between channels via a single footswitch and lighting its signature backlit nameplate red, white, or blue to match. Channel two runs off a single 12AX7 for chunky, higher-gain lead tones, while channel three is the more aggressive of the two, with a bypassable master volume and cut control for shaping the top end. A 5AR4 rectifier and a pair of cathode-biased EL34s drive the 35-watt power section, with a 3-position rotary switch for 4/8/16-ohm output.
