Star-Base 1
A sub-20-watt EL-84 combo with a built-in attenuator and a unique post-phase-inverter master volume for dialing in breakup at any volume.
About this amp
Star-Base 1 was built around musician requests for a sub-20-watt option with extra flexibility: it pairs Swart’s tube bias reverb with a built-in attenuator (a custom adaptation of the Night Light three-position switch) and a unique post-phase-inverter master volume, giving two different ways to shape breakup and final volume. It’s offered in a small or midsize cabinet with a choice of speaker.
