Beano Boost
By Analog Man
Analog Man's Rangemaster-style treble booster, made to push a tube amp into rich crunch rather than act as a clean boost. Normal and Mini sizes, silicon or germanium.
About this pedal
The Beano Boost is based on the Dallas Rangemaster. It isn’t really a clean boost or a distortion: it lifts certain frequencies and drives the front of a tube amp into crunchy breakup. Steve Hackett is a well-known user.
It comes in a normal-size box (battery, with an optional filtered power jack) or a Mini with a power jack only, and with a silicon or germanium transistor. An on/off volume pot and a bass-tailored version are also offered. Built to order, typically shipping in two to four weeks, with some Minis ready to ship.
