Bad Bob Booster
By Analog Man
A JFET booster with over 20 dB of gain for pushing tube amps into breakup, originally designed by Robbie Wallace and built by Analog Man since 2010.
About this pedal
The Bad Bob started life at Robbie Wallace’s RGW Electronics, and Analog Man has built it in-house since 2010. It is a class A JFET booster based on Jack Orman’s mu-amp circuit, with more than 20 dB on tap to fatten a clean amp or tip a low-wattage amp into sustain.
It comes in standard, top-jack Junior, Mini and dual versions, with an optional drive knob and buffer. A Good Bob variant uses lower-gain FETs for a cleaner boost.
