OG-1 Overdrive (with Colby Amps)
By Analog Man
A collaboration with Colby Amps that recreates the original Boss OD-1, the first compact overdrive, using new-old-stock chips.
About this pedal
The OG-1 is Analog Man and Colby Amps’ take on the Boss OD-1 from 1977, often called the first overdrive pedal. It keeps the OD-1’s simple circuit with asymmetric clipping and no tone control, which Analog Man credits for its open, harmonically rich edge, and it is built with new-old-stock op-amp chips of the type used in early originals.
It is made in small batches with no wait list and a one-per-customer limit; when the cart button is gone, the batch has sold out.
