Juicer
By Analog Man
A one-knob compressor based on the original Dan Armstrong Orange Squeezer, great for stacking into overdrive. Mini, MXR-size and plug-in versions.
About this pedal
The Juicer reproduces the original Dan Armstrong Orange Squeezer circuit, not the later reissue, using new-old-stock Fairchild FETs, a germanium diode and a JRC4558 chip. It has a single external volume knob and about 8 dB of gain. The original only had an internal trim.
It comes as a Mini (no battery, no options), in an MXR-size box with side or top jacks and options like a high-cut switch, on/off pot or buffer, or as a plug-in version. Analog Man recommends it for stacking into overdrive and distortion pedals.
