C-30
Matchless' original flagship design (the DC-30/SC-30), a true Class A dual-channel amp built around a quartet of EL84s.
About this amp
The C-30 (sold as the 2x12 DC-30 or 1x12 SC-30) is Matchless’ original amp and still leads the lineup, running four EL84 power tubes in a true Class A configuration for rich harmonics at any volume. Channel one is a parallel-triode circuit with interactive bass and treble, while channel two runs a high-gain EF86 pentode through a six-position tone switch, with a bypassable master volume and cut control. A half-power switch, individual channel effects loops, and a choice of 5AR4 or dual-5V4G rectification round out the feature set.
